Current Restrictions

As of now, there are no mandatory watering restrictions in place for 2025. Residents have the flexibility to water their lawns as needed.

Voluntary Guidelines During Drought Stages

Depending on the drought stage declared by the city, voluntary restrictions may apply. During these periods, residents are encouraged to follow these conservation practices to help preserve water resources:

• Odd-Even Watering Schedule:
  • Addresses ending in odd numbers should water on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
  • Addresses ending in even numbers should water on Wednesdays and Sundays.
• Watering Times:
  • Water lawns only during the early morning hours (before 10 AM) or after sunset (after 8 PM) to minimize evaporation.

Conservation is Key

Even outside of drought stages, the City of Tomball encourages residents to adopt water-saving habits:

• Use sprinklers with timers to avoid overwatering.
